Day 354- Snowflakes

 
4 March 2011- My bank made me angry. So I called them, and had a heated discussion about why they are sending me a defunct card that the ATM will eat. Then I turned their letter into a snowflake

Day 352- I don't know

 
2 March 2011- A ceiling vent of some kind at myu office. Not the air con, because that runs in strips. I was back at work, but my tummy muscles started to hurt, so I lay down on one of the unoocupied desks (we have a whole section of those, I wasn't next to anyone working) to try and make things better. Instead I got this lovely picture.

Day 346 - Lip balm

 
24 February 2011- I have a lot of lip balm. The combination of air conditioning + 40 or more stitches in my lower lip means that that lip dries out a lot. THis stuff is great because it has a nice citrusy zing.

Day 326 - Water

 
4 February 2011- Or more accurately, water bottles. We moved offices in December and this one doesn't have a plumbed in water filter/chiller. So the office supplies water bottles. I don't think they knew about my 2 litres a day habit when they made that decision. I don't drink juices or soft drinks, so the only cold option is water. I drink a lot of it as it then prevents me from drinking many cups of coffee (bad) or eating too much chocolate (also bad). Plus, it is really important to stay hydrated, and I don't tend to get the right signals in a humid climate. Dehydration is horrible.

19 January 2011- This a space on my desk wall that I have as a thoughtful space. A reminder that work is not the be all and end all. Postcards, and words about what is really important.

Day 283 - So Many Toys

 
23 December 2010- I spent an afternoon helping sort donated toys. Everytime we cleared the table, more came in.

Day 276 - Rain, Rain, go away...

 
16 December 2010 - Or just hang around for the next few weeks instead. Rain drops on my wind at work.

4 September 2010- The view from the rooftop terrace at work, looking towards the city. The little speck in the distance is a Blackhawk. We were preparing for the Riverfire fireworks later that night.

Day 100 - wet weather

23 June 2010 - Yes, it rains sometimes in Brisbane, and when it does, you need these. There was a third, but it was out at lunch

Day 94 - trains

17 June 2010 - This is the view from my work car park. The train tracks run right by, which can be quite noisy. The other bridge, with the lights on, is the yet to be opened Go Between Bridge. yes Brisbane has a bridge called the Go Between Bridge.

Day 87- The Toxic Avengers

10 June 2010 - At the annual ASFA trivia night. We came second- by a measley half a point. Half a point. Yes I am annoyed, especially since we lost two questions because I couldn't hear the correct answer someone had.

15 April 2010 - A slight miscalculation on my part, arriving 30 minutes early for an industry update thing. But there was coffee

Day 30: Office Still life

14 April 2010 - My desk, containing the essential elements: coffee, phone, water bottle and office bippy key. Oh an my mousepad, which is on the left side of my computer, so I can cross wire my brain.

Day 2: At work

17 March 2010 - This cardboard dartboard (magnetic darts) hangs near my desk. It used to hang on the corkboard, but that was replaced by a whiteboard. I bought it as stress relief- the only person who ever uses it is my boss.
