Day 93 Medicate me

16 June 2010 - My medication - two different antibiotics, an anti-inflamatory (ibuprofen, which is also a painkiller), and a fairly strong painkiller. Plus the vaseline to rub on the lip itself.

Day 92 - BOOKS

15 June 2010 - Last day of the Lifeline bookfest. Twice a year for at least 3 days the Lifeline charity puts on a massive book sale in Brisbane- millions of books, most under $5 ( the average paperback book in Australia is around $20 thanks to some very restrictive importing rules.) many are under $2. Over the years I have picked up some absolute bargains (1930's original Nancy Drew - no cover 50 cents) and some very unique gifts ( 1956 state mining journal for my dad). Anyway this is one at least 10 tables in the high priced section (about up to $10), there are another 20 to 30 in the regular and cheapie sections.

Day 91 World Cup

14 June 2010 - At the cafe at 4 am to watch Australia be shellacked by Germany. Truly awful. And kind of depressing to see how fairweather some of the Australian fans are.

Day 90: Cheese!

13 June 2010 - Mmmm cheese. I like cheese, maybe you can tell? And pickled onions. No not so much, but the other half of the household does, so there they are as well.

Day 89

12 June 2010 - not this is not a mistake- I forgot to take a photo. And when I realised, I wasn't even upset. Those were really STRONG painkillers.

Day 88

11 June 2010 - I don't like this photo- it shows what happens when two people misjudge a situation. In this case the keeper and I both went for a 50/50 ball. I got there first and got a shot off, she didn't. and when we collided my chin met her knee and ouch. A lot.

Day 87- The Toxic Avengers

10 June 2010 - At the annual ASFA trivia night. We came second- by a measley half a point. Half a point. Yes I am annoyed, especially since we lost two questions because I couldn't hear the correct answer someone had.

9 June 2010 - the two halves of a biscornu, but I have run out of the thread, so will need to make a trip to eumundi before it can be finished.

Day 85

8 June 2010 - I found my squishy elephant from Japan over the weekend. It is weirdly fun.

Day 84 - Mouse

7 June 2010- I spotted the mouse corpse in the driveway when I came home from soccer. Pretty big mouse (or small rat).

Update- this is indeed a rat. As long as it is no longer living in the building I don't care that much.

Day 81 - Cake

4 June 2010 - I made a cake. It may have come from a packet mix, but it was yum. The whole in the center is because, despite cooking at the right temp and time, and checking, the middle seems not to have cooked 100 % and it collapsed under the frosting.

Day 80 - more family

3 June 2010 - My step sister-in-law, at dinner at my Mum's place. She is probably having a worse month than myself, having just been diagnosed with the terrible c word.

Day 79

2 June 2010 - I seem to take a lot of pictures of food.

Day 78 - more healthy living

1 June 2010 - That would be a mini jam doughnut next to my tea, so not really healthy.

Day 77 - Stupid mouse

31 May 2010 - We came back to discover that a small rodent had invaded the house and selectively chewed things. Here, my favourite pair of shoes, mangled by rodent teeth and despoiled by rodent poo, lie in the garbage. Greg was happy (he hates these shoes) until he discovered the damage they had done to the computer cables.

Day 76 - cityscape

30 May 2010 - At Circular Quay rail station, looking out towards the bridge. The opera house is just to the right of this view.

Day 75 - More Family

29 May 2010 - My brother and his wife - still in Sydney. We have just returned from watching Cats, the musical with no plot.

Day 74 - Out to Eat

28 May 2010 - Family trip to Sydney. This is my little brother (wearing my hat) and my dad in the Japanese restaurant we went to. Real izakaya food and chu-hi!
