19 February 2011- A bird of paradise flower- growing as shopping centre parking lot flora.

Day 339 - They're fake

 
17 February 2011- I have recently discovered a fantastic Japanese bento place that does very good bento lunches (and in the right size too). These fake blossoms are part of the decor.

Day 323 - It's pink

 
1 February 2011- This flower came with the servicing of my car. I don't know whether this is a gender thing, I dropped the car off, but Greg picked it up. I wonder what they would have put if they knew a man was picking the car up. Or maybe the same. I kind of prefer the jar of jelly beans that I used to get with my old Volvo.

Day 209 - Time to study

 
10 October 2010- The jacaranda trees generally bloom in late October and November, right around the time of exams. For Brisbane students, the saying is that if you haven't started studying by the time the jacarandas bloom, it's too late. Students may hate them, but the rest of us like the purple flowers.

18 May 2010 - Greg bought me roses, for no reason except that he wanted to. Who says romance is dead?

29 April 2010 - They had a special on roses at the local fruit shop.
