Day 329 - I'm confused

 
7 February 2011- On Monday nights I play touch footy. Our field went severly under water in the floods, so lately we have been playing at Annerley. I noticed this sign next to the vigourous soccer training session going on. Clearly management hasn't passed the message to the coaches

Day 319 - Dylan

 
28 January 2011 A picture of Dylan. Not necessarily a decorating choice we would have made, but my mother and stepfather had 5 pictures they wanted to get rid of, so it was determined that they would be lotteried off to the kids. Each picture (of various rock greats) was numbered, then we all drew a number out of the hat. We got Dylan. I don't know that Greg was that impressed but at least we didn't get Zappa!

3 January 2011 - Why a fleur de lis would be popular as a fence topper I do not know. But it looked interesting

2 January 2011- This garden centre was having a sale on fake rusty garden sculptures (they are fibreglass). Somebody with an interesting sense of humor arranged the sale section.

28 December 2010- Officeworks had the compartment containers on special, so the random little metal jar is being sorted.

Day 230 -En garde

 
31 October 2010 - We bought these in Japan- they are dolls in Kendo poses - we got 3 in different poses, and these are the two we kept. And if you know the Japanese expression for en garde, let me know

Day 98 - Happy Birthday to someone!

21 June 2010 - This has been chalked on the wall of a building visible from my workspace, I don't know this Jess, but it is an interesting birthday present.

Day 95 - Coffee through a straw

18 June 2010 - The waiter gave me a funny look when I asked for the straw and then noticed the lip. Yes I can still sip coffee through a straw, and it kind of makes me want to sing the old Girl Scout standby song "Cider through a straw".

8 June 2010 - I found my squishy elephant from Japan over the weekend. It is weirdly fun.

25 May 2010 - These little ladybugs marching around the lamp are magnets. Amusement while stuck in bed.
