14 March 2011- The tops of the buildings in Wolloongabba. Traffic was slow, so I had a chance to catch the photos.

Day 356- South Bank

6 March 2011- ONe of my favorite parts of South Bank. I can remember when these posts simply had wire between them and a few small plants starting to grow. It's taken a few years but now there is this awesome tunnel effect.

Day 325 - What's happening?

3 February 2011 - We went into the CBD for dinner with a friend, and had this drama to entertan us while waiting. The man on the ground seems to have done something, possibly in the strip club just there as they are interviewing a few people. Something dramatic enough to require 6 cops, 2 security guards and a bouncer. Not sure what happened later, he wouldn't get off the ground, and they brought a paddywagon but then we left.

Day 324 - Train

2 February 2011 - With the floods knocking out my regular parking spot, and the alternative being irritating and annoying and generally not fun we have been taking the train more often. It's actually a shorter walk form the tain station to work than from alterna car park to work. My normal car park is very close to work. Yes I have grown lazy in terms of walking to work, but the car park is just so darn convenient.

Day 320 Books, so many books

29 January 2011- We went to the Lifeline Bookfest. I may have mentioned this before. These are just some of the crates of books waiting to be put out onto the tables. They have a lot of books.

Day 318 - Alleyway

27 January 2011- The alley next to my building has several cafes along it, and is very popular - especially now the closest food court has been shut due to flood damage. It's great not having to go far for lunch or coffee, but frustrating that there are so many people.

Day 316 - Details

25 January 2011- These are the blocks that compose the main Post Office in Brisbane. I assume that the pock marks are deliberate, as they only occur in the bordered area of the block, but I don't know what the purpose is. They aren't a particular pattern. Or maybe they are the natural erosion, but only in the blocks? Since some have more protection than others, I don't think so.

17 January 2011 - Two street scultpures near my office. Not sure if they are meant to be interacting

Day 304 - At the Park

13 January 2011 - We went for a walk in the are of our suburb that flooded- this is one of the first places that started getting water, and of the last to lose it. It is a park with a creek that runs down to the river. The road just down from here flooded a bit and most of the businesses had sandbags out.

Day 303 - Flood

12 January 2010- A picture of the rising Brisbane River. I wasn't going to try to get really close, so this is a distance shot of an area that usually has a walking track. See all of the little wooden structures, they aren't meant to be half covered by the water...

Day 300 - Rain

9 January 2011- This was a tough selection, there were a couple of good shots of the scultures next to this slab. All taken while a very angry lady screamed at the world just behind me.

Day 261 - Water Everywhere

1 December 2010-It has been raining for a while in Brisbane, and places constructed between the 1970s and 2010 often fail to have the necessary coping strategies required- which means that they flood.

Day 209 - Time to study

10 October 2010- The jacaranda trees generally bloom in late October and November, right around the time of exams. For Brisbane students, the saying is that if you haven't started studying by the time the jacarandas bloom, it's too late. Students may hate them, but the rest of us like the purple flowers.
